Understandable pool closure due to upkeep but aside from that the resort had excellent service.
Good central location.
Not advised pool and fitness facilities were closed until we checked in.

Disappointing
The service was good from all the staff. The pool area is excellent and the water was very clean. Breakfast was quite good and there was a lot of choice.
The first thing you have when you check in is the smell of cigarette smoke coming from the casino.....its 2019 so this should not happen anymore. The whole lobby area reeks of smoke. The area is quite rough, especially at night but I've stayed in the area before so knew what to expect. The room was nice but quite dated and there were a couple of cockroaches on the floor during our stay. Having to go into the casino to do a currency exchange was dreadful! So much smoke! Unfortunately this hotel is no longer 5 stars. Much nicer at the Pan Pacific/Sheraton just around the corner

overall it was good but not that great for the price we paid.
proximity to the mall and accesible to commute
the non smoking room still has the smoke smell, and made us uncomfortable to sleep through the night. We were move up to a higher floor but nothing has changed.
